Bereavement Groups and
Individual Grief Counseling

The death of a loved one is like an unwelcome intruder in your life. Hopes, plans and dreams are disrupted or shattered. The turmoil that grief provokes is like no other. Some responses to the finality of death can include such feelings as denial, shock, sadness, confusion, anger, fear and guilt.

The Solace Center of the Hills professionals are dedicated to providing a safe place for you to talk about your feelings. While understanding that each person’s grief is unique, we come together to be heard and diminish feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Listening to each other, and telling your story allows you to move forward in your life. The healing power of reflection enables you to put words to sorrow and reflect upon the past.

Groups are designed to maximize trust, cohesion and confidentiality. To achieve this, the group:

• size is limited
• sessions meet for 11/2 hours weekly
• meets for 6 consecutive weeks
• membership is closed to new members after the second session

Fee for each six week session is $60. Scholarships are available.

for all that we love deeply becomes part of us”
